Micheal Gellman Workshop

Teatro Pomodoro, in association with ImproQuo and the Lantern Theatre, presents Improvisation for Actors, a workshop by Michael J Gellman, founder of Process Theatre and former artistic director of Second City Toronto.

In this two-day intensive the actor / improvisers will explore the improviser’s tool kit for exciting performance: truly working in the moment, detailed characters with emotional and physical truth and in the second day we will explore ways to apply those techniques to both long and short form improvisation for performance.

Techniques gained in this workshop will apply to auditions, text work, play development and improvisational performance.

Over the past 40 years Mr. Gellman has directed, taught, and/or acted with: Dan Akroyd, John Candy, Bill Murray, Gild Radner, Chris Farley, Steve Carrell, Steven Colbert, Tina Fey, George Wendt, Del Close, Dan Castellaneta and many others.
